Senior Product/Project Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sr. Product/Project will have technical responsibility for all reverse engineer functions across all electronics programs. This is a highly technical position that requires proven results in multi make/multi-application reverse engineering development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Primary Responsibilities

    • Execute all Reverse Engineering for Electronics Remanufacturing
    • Develop training process for future reverse engineering employees
    • Initiate, review and develop all functionality requirements
    • Set up design and requirements for breakout box development
    • Set up and design connector strategy for testers
    • Assist in troubleshooting on all launched testers/hardware and software
    • Recommend and approve hardware updates
    • Support operations in the development of the process flow, assembly equipment, quality checks, work instructions, control plans, end-of-line (EOL) testing, functional/durability testing as required from a hardware interface standpoint
    • Contribute to advance repair functions specific to hardware testers
    • May perform other duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
    • Moderate travel domestically and internationally may be necessary to help support the global operation and validate the global component of Supply Chain.
    • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
    • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
    • Ensure resource availability and allocation
    • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress. Create and maintain comprehensive project documents

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Experience in reverse engineering, specific to electronics
  • Proficient at design test protocols, pin circuits, language and troubleshooting
  • Experience imbedded software communication hardware
  • Proficient and computer support specific to electronics tester implementation and EOL test requirements specific to hardware and reverse engineering development.
  • Familiarity with OEM processes, procedures and web portals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment- Team oriented
  • Natural relationship builder with integrity, reliability and maturity
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and adherence to deadlines

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with LabVIEW and/or MatLab design and development
  • Understanding of IT requirements and hardware development
  • Strong background in imbedded software and associated tools

Location and Travel
