E-REQ Technician

Position Overview

We are searching for a E-Req Technician to join our team! This role requires will support remanufacturing and assembly technicians by facilitating the remanufacturing processes of parts necessary for build and or assembly.

Job Summary

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Manage electronic requisitions for pieces and parts.
  • Utilize computer and Office programs to track throughput within reman/machining bays.
  • Create and maintain efficient workflow within departments affected by electronic requisitions.
  • Retrieve core components from inventoried locations and/or coordinate with materials group to acquire materials in a timely manner.
  • Support dissembling pumps, motors, valves, controls, and subassemblies as needed using required parts and components in a cost-effective manner to support component needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

  • Must be mechanically inclined.
  • Experience with Hydraulic components a plus.
  • Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office/Access a plus.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 lbs. consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Exposure to elements such as odor, hydraulic fluids, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.

Safety and Compliance

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Safety Glasses are required and steel toed work boots are required.
  • Other PPE equipment as required.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing plant, shop environment; regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.

Minimum qualifications

  • Lift 30 pounds
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hydraulics is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Hydraulic Pump and Hydraulic Repair Technician or similar
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and their operation.
  • Proficiency in using hydraulic testing and diagnostic equipment.
  • Skilled in disassembling and reassembling hydraulic components.
  • Ability to read hydraulic schematics and technical documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
  • Safety-conscious and familiar with relevant safety standards and protocols.
  • Carry out assigned projects to their completion.
  • Communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and supervisors
